    The 3R Ranch is located in the Sabinal Canyon near Utopia, Texas. Our family has been involved in the ranching community and lived on this site since 1948. We began raising sheep and goats in the 1980s. Currently, we maintain a small flock of club lamb oriented ewes. Rusty is a livestock order buyer for our small meat processing plant and can assist in filling most any livestock orders. The Mercantile Meat Plant is a custom harvesting plant that specializes in cabrito and also supplies meat to our restaurant Lost Maples Café. We also lease land that we run commercial sheep and goats on. Our small feed yard allows us to grain finish lambs and kids. Talk about too many irons in the fire!!!
    With this many sheep and goats around, we keep a bountiful supply of canine assistance. We raise and train livestock working dogs. In addition, our guardian dogs have allowed us to remain in the business when others had to give up due to predation.
    Our roots run deep into the livestock community and we would love to help with any of your needs that relate to: livestock purchasing, locally grown and processed meat products, custom harvesting, prescribed grazing land management, livestock guardian dogs or working dogs.
